HOW TO GET TO FORT CALGARY
Please note: We strongly recommend taking transit, taxi, ride-sharing, or bicycle.
Elders Drop Off and Universal Accessibility: Entrance of Fort Calgary, the park is universally accessible.
Public Transit
- Bus routes: 1, 24, 302, 411
- The City Hall LRT station is three blocks west of Fort Calgary. This station is accessible by both the Red Line and Blue Line.

Parking:
Onsite parking available. Parking can be purchased with the ParkPlus app, the ParkPlus machines located outside the museum, or the Virtual Pay Machine on the Calgary Parking Authority’s website. 15-minute free parking is available with license plate registration.
Walking and biking:
Located along the RiverWalk, at the confluence of the Bow and Elbow Rivers, Fort Calgary is a 10-minute walk from Calgary’s downtown core. If arriving by bicycle, Fort Calgary can be accessed via the RiverWalk and the 9th Avenue bike path.
